Ariocarpus scaphirostris %

|2-2,5 cm Ø|Endemic to Mexico (Nuevo Leon) in a very limited area within a single valley with some slopes. One of the more demanding Ariocarpus species. They need at least 10 years to grow out, become at most 10 cm (3,9 Inches) in diameter and form the first flowers after 8 years at the earliest. Seedlings are often grafted to accelerate growth, so the first flowers can be expected 2-3 years after sowing. They need a lot of direct light and must be kept perfectly dry during hibernation at not less than 5 °C (41 °F) in a bright place.
