|4-5 cm Ø|Flower to 4-½ inches (11 cm) across. Petals dark satiny fuchsia with deep red at base. Throat-circle bright pinkish-red. Filaments dark fuchsia; anthers cream-colored; inner stamens arranged in a complete circle in the flower tube. Stigma dark green. Stem columnar, to 3-½ inches (8 cm) in diameter, beautiful dark green; spines fine, centrals to ¼ inch (8 mm) long; areoles closely spaced.
